Hanyauku, what a great word. Namibians must be fast as how can you walk slowly on hot sand! For sure, we all need more play in our lives. We have a pic of our daughter as a young child running tippy-toed in a summer shower. Pure joy! A great post Gulsun, folding up summer!

Thank you so much for the feedback. I felt that Hanyauku, with its pure joy, was a proper farewell to summer for this year, and now I see it really is so.

A warm salute to all the joyful summers of the past and a hopeful welcome to the future ones!

This week's word is joyful, child spirit is what we all need to be reminded of quite often; to 'Take it easy', 'Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy' -Courtesy of Eagles. 😀

You had neatly packed a loaded concept of 'synesthesia' in your write-up. Bravo! I admire the talent. 👏

Interesting jazz song for the summertime. Although I prefer rock and roll :) Like Elvis Presley's songs from his movie Fun in Acapulco.

Have a great summertime, listening to your favorite songs.

Cheers:)

Hanyauku is a happy word; it was fun to write about it, and this made my writing work easier. In some words like this one, light and joyful, making connotations is easier than the heavier ones in the meaning. Maybe because the pen moves more vivaciously.

I'm delighted you also liked it and my post. My favorite music genre is jazz, and I listen to Summertime often, but from time to time I listen to different music. For example, nowadays, I listen to rap and R&B, of course, with the help of my son's musical appeal. Change is good.

Cheers :)

PS: Sorry for the late reply. Last week, school started, and since my son is in a critical preparation phase to get accepted by a good high school, I had tons of work.

Oh yes, happy words and happy memories are the best things to write about. Your reply and the memory of this word brought a smile to my face now. Worthy to mention that I had just finished an emotionally draining book.

I love jazz, country music, and my parent's generation's songs. But now, to keep up with the next generation I listen to K-pop and Rap. 😆😆

Hope your son got into the high school that he is happy with. I can only imagine your stress before the joining days. All the best to him on his next journey.

Cheers:)
