Another fantastic word! I love the way nunchi sounds, and I love what it means.

I also loved the concept of nunchi. As I understand it, it is a very common behavior in Korean culture and can be very useful as long as it is used in a balanced way. Thank you so much!

I did some teaching in Korea while I was in graduate school (around 10 years ago)--I wish I had known about nunchi back then so I could have watched out for it.

As far as I understand, it is a very old concept that has been deeply ingrained in Korean culture, and parents use it as a guide within the family while raising their children. I can guess because similar concepts exist in Turkish culture as well. As a result, it may go unnoticed by foreigners, which may explain why you didn't hear about it in Korea. However, I believe it is a topic worth further research, so I will devote some additional time to it. We'll see what comes out of it :)

I taught in Korea as well! I didn’t know this word, but I definitely felt its presence everywhere. Very related to in yeon, another Korean notion that I really came to love while there.
